Obama attended Chicago's United Trinity Church of Christ for over 20 years. That church, which Obama said was "not particularly controversial," preaches Black Liberation Theology. What is that, you ask? Reverend Jeremiah "God d*** America" Wright (Obama's "spiritual mentor") told Sean Hannity that if he wanted to learn about Liberation Theology he should read the writings of Dr. James Cone.
Dr. Cone says in his book, Black Theology & Black Power, that "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him...Black theology will accept only the love of a God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy..." (Italics mine)
The white enemy. Wow. So Obama attended this church, which apparently adheres to the idea that white people are the enemy, for more than 20 years. Can anyone imagine what the media would have done if John McCain had attended Westboro Baptist Church for 20 years? You know, the church that goes around protesting at the funerals of gays and American soldiers. The other church that says, "God d*** America." There is no way he would still be in the running for President of the United States.
Why is the media so ho-hum about Obama's ties to a racist and America-hating church? Why are Democrats okay with it? Are we really going to elect someone like this to the presidency? God help us all if we do.
Thou shalt destroy the white enemy
